The primary flavor I taste is overripe banana. I also taste coconut. In some sips, the banana is a little too overripe for me. This is pretty good, but not one I would seek out again over 52teas banana blends. I feel like I’ve had my fill after a few cups.

This was delightful. I drank the whole bag much too quickly. It has a familiar 52teas spice blend, but one that I always enjoy. The base supports the flavor profile perfectly. It tastes desserty, like I could really see it being an oat crumble of some kind. I never tasted any cranberry. This was best cold sweetened with milk.

TTB! The name of this sounds so delicious. Unfortunately, the tea itself is a bit disappointing. It was super plain, tasting more like oat than anything else. I tasted no spices whatsoever.

I enjoyed the tartness here – it’s just like sour lemon candy. I tried some before adding extra sweetener, and it was pretty good already! I still preferred it afterward. This is super true to its name, and I’m really enjoying it cold, made entirely of milk.

TTB! Despite all the almond ingredients, this reminded me a little of oat milk? And sometimes it was just generic black tea with maybe a hint of dessertiness. Not bad, just average.

TTB! The rose was too strong for my preferences. It just has a weird sour tang to me, and combined with the raspberry, it all ends up too tart and floral. I left the cup in the fridge for 48 hours, and then the flavors became much more muted and enjoyably fruity. But I wouldn’t want it again.

Fortnum & Mason makes a Raspberry and Rose Florentine cookie that I hope will be gracing my tea table soon. It is only available part of the year, I think mostly around British Mother’s Day.

TTB! I mostly taste hibiscus, which I know isn’t stale, but it has a naturally stale sort of flavor. It’s tart, but okay cold. The mint adds another layer of mustiness. Ha this one really isn’t a winner.

Reddit TTB tea! I taste a lot of mint, but also lemongrass. This must also include some sweetener because it was super sweet. Even the resteep was sweet, and sometimes that becomes a bit cloying. Actually, the licorice-like sweetness is the strongest flavor of all.

drank Pine Chai by Leaf Lounge

I bought this in Flagstaff in November when we were visiting the Grand Canyon! I was super drawn to the name and the fact that it’s herbal, but there are no pine-like ingredients listed. Really, it’s a pretty light chai and mostly tastes like licorice. It’s not bad with milk, but I definitely wanted something more woodsy. In some cups, I can sort of convince myself that I taste something foresty, but certainly not pine.

Maybe toss a few pine nuts into the cup with the chai?

Ha I always call pine nuts “worse sunflower seeds” because that’s what they taste like to me. But I could try :P

drank Lemongrass Citrus by Lemon Lily

The ingredients of this one were so simple, I probably shouldn’t have gotten it, I just love lemongrass in a tea! It turned out quite straightforward, as expected. I mostly taste lemon, and it’s a bit tart for me at times. So this one is sort of like having lemonade. I enjoy some cups more than others.

Bio

I’m an event planner who always has multiple mugs of tea beside me. Hobbies other than tea include board games, video games, cooking international dishes, science fiction, hiking, jigsaw puzzles, tap dancing, reading, listening to podcasts, and playing with my troublesome kitties.

Favorite flavors: dessert flavors, nutty, melon, mint, strawberry, anything rooibos-related.

Don’t prefer: Smoky, rosemary, savory flavors, floral (other than lavender), plain tea.

I always drink flavored tea, and preferably caffeine-free or black. I’ll try just about anything though! Let me know if you’re interested in a swap!

My ratings are kind of meaningless, but basically
90-100 pretty perfect
80-89 really good
70-79 good, but not the best
60-69 okay, but probably not for me
1-59 varying degrees of dislike
